A project inspired by a local restaurant combining visual aspects of Japanese and Korean cooking.
The name ‘Kim·Shi’ came from the former part of ‘Kim-chi’ which is commonly served in Korean dishes, and the latter part of ‘Sushi’ which is a popular Japanese dish.
Branding was formed with application across all mediums, including t-shirts, signage, coasters and the menu.
This menu was particularly designed with the art of menu engineering. This means the menu was made to highlight items that will typically have a high profit margin. Your menu is the most valuable marketing tool, so using research driven design is essential to making money for your restaurant.
